Dolley Madison House

Enjoy a night in a suite named for one of our country’s first ladies. The experience will take you back to old eighteenth century Virginia. However, nestled among the Colonial Virginia style furnishings are the modern appliances required for your comfort and convenience. The suite has a microwave, a refrigerator and the bath even includes a walk-in tub like those seen on TV. All of the rooms at the Dolley Madison House exit directly onto to an open air porch where one will find an old fashioned rocker or a glider. The furniture is hand made by local Amish cabinetmakers, which helps to maintain an antique appearance. Most of the beds are queen size and have an old fashioned quilt.
